Default Passenger Side Window Not Working

I drove to work with the top down this morning. When I got to work, the passenger's side window would not go up. I tried the switches on both the driver's and passenger's side with no luck. The driver's side window operates normally. I have an appointment to have it checked out by the dealer next Tuesday.

Has this happened to anyone else here? I have a MY2000 purchased in 1999 and it now has 20,500 miles.

Have you tried the child safety switch? There's a switch on the driver's door (it's there on my Prelude anyway) that prevents your passenger from playing with the window. It disables both passenger window switches.

Thanks.

There is a 'child safety' switch, just like on my four-door Accord, and that was my problem. It is a feature that I never use and it must have gotten switched by accident. Although it kept the window from going back up, the window still went down automatically, when the top went down.

I do not keep the owner's manual in the car, so that is why I did not check it when I got to work.

This switch is a feature, that I probably could have done without.

Thanks again.

Yeah, especially when (to my understanding) you're not supposed to have kids in the car. So why do you need the child-safety switch? For when you're transporting your drunk friends??

Don't feel bad. You're just the latest in a long line of panicky S2000 owners who accidentally bumped the "safety" switch .

Nope, that never happened to me ...

I have no problem admitting that the same thing happened to me.

I went around town with the passenger widow down for 2 days thinking that my window motor had bit the dust.

I can one up that. I took my car to the service department, only to have the guy call me an hour later to tell me it was locked. DUH!

With this happening to so many people, I wonder why the service guys don't suggest you try the child-safety switch first before bringing the car in to be checked out.
