Bettis had a harness that the seat belt would fit through. I think I got it online at Drs. Foster and Smith.
I too use a harness. I have a male boxer, and the harness is for his safety as well as my own. In an accident, your dog becomes a large unsecured object.

There are several brands of harnesses widely available at any large pet store i.e. petsmart, petco.

I then put a couple old floor mats on the seat. They're plenty thick to protect the leather from his nails.

They fit just fine (this was his choice, I opened the trunk and he just jumped right in...

Anyways, yeah I just grab a towel and tuck it between the transmission pathway and then just tuck it into the seat all around. Also make sure his nails are always clipped. No scratches after countless trips.

Axel rides in the truck or civic but if I had to take him in the S2000 I would simply wrap the passenger seat in his blanket. He is a 58 lb America Pit Bull Terrier. Very short haired dogs are much better for riding in the car...no hair covering everything!

It's a no no in my book. The only animal in my S2k is the human type.

My dog loves to ride in my S2. I just put a towel over the seat.

no matter what you do never bring a cat inside the S, had to take my cousins cat to the vet, it jumped out of the window while I was crossing a bridge doing 55.

In my earlier foolish years, long before the S, I was driving my new 240Z when I was passed somewhere outside of Philly by another (Maine plates) 240Z and I noted through the rear window were TWO blondes in the car.

Being single and (did I say foolish?) I decided to pass the offending 240 to check things out. One WAS a foxy blonde and the other was a not so foxy but .... Afghan hound.

A shockeroo!! but at least it got me a nice wave, a smile and a flashed ring!!

Rats! Big Rats!
