Ok, I'm tired, so I wont post much. The install went as expected except they accidentally shipped me a 3/8 hose instead of a 1/2 for the breather and I had to run to autozone to get the right size. Also, you'll need to have some zip ties on hand. Other than that there were no snags. It is definitely the most difficult intake I've ever installed, as you do need to remove the front bumper and cut your fenderwell to get it in. It's still not a very difficult job really, but certainly more difficult than you would exepct for just doing an intake.

Anyway, on to the important stuff. I only drove the car a little and it recently started getting cold out here in SoCal, so that makes it hard to tell how much power I got from the intake because the car runs great in cold weather anyway and I'm not used to that. That said, you can go check my dyno sheets on the other threads to see that it does, in fact, make substantial power. The car has loads more torque. The power band seems to have responded the way the dyno sheet showed it would. It has a nice little kick at 3750 and right at the vtec changeover. The rest of the powerband is good and strong, but those are the two really noticable jumps. Other than that, the throttle response seems improved. Ok, me sleep now.

Yeah, it's looks like the same pain in the ass that the Injen CAI was to install.

Looks great bro. Can't wait to get mine later on this week. What I don't like is the filter...it only allows air in on the sides and doesn't allow air in on the top of the filter...which will be the side facing the cold air coming in becaues I am removing my faux vents...can you put any filter on the AEM intake of only this K&N?

I actually don't think there's too much reason to cut the fake vents out from the bumper. The AEM instructions have you cut a hole from the tract that goes to the radiator and it feeds off of that (see my pictures). The fender area is in no way sealed, and I worry that if you get too much high speed air from the fake duct being cut open without a sealed air box (the area inside the fender where the filter sits) you're not going to get the desired ram-air effect where it makes some pressure build up. Instead, you're going to get air swirling around really fast as it shoots out the bottom and you're more likely to end up with a bornouli effect that tries to actually draw air OUT of the intake, instead of the intended ram-air effect.

No, I think you can get to it from just the fender well/undertray.
