Check out the crappy job Honda is calling within factory specs. What do you think? Notice the uneven gaps between the hood and bumper interface from right to left. Click on the link below. Also check out my previous thread.

What do you think and what should I do now? do I have to sue?

Yikes!

That's not even close! Has the body shop refused to hear your complaints? What was the original damage? I wouldn't be happy with that at all and while I don't think you would need to start thinking about sueing (at this point), how about good old diplomacy? Keep crawling up the chain of command until you get ahold of someone who knows what they are talking about and understands your situation...

Greg,

I've been back to the body shop 3 times. The Honda dealer twice. A factory rep looked at it and they are all giving me the same load of BS. I don't know where to go with this.

Geez. . .that does look a litty shitty. . .

Looks like one side needs to be tightened or something. Do they (the Honda dealer, rep and body shop) see what you are talking about? That's a little obvious!

Look in your owner's manual. In the very back, there is a large map of our country divided into districts. Find your district and call the number. Log the complaint with American Honda and swift resolution should follow. I thas always worked for me!

Contact your District Service Manager, if your clueless dealer has his head implanted where the sun doesn't shine. Just keep crawling up the chain until you find someone...the DSM should listen to you, so start there!

This is bull. The hood is ajustable fore and aft and left and right, so there is no damned excuse for that gap. Any half competent mechanic could fix it.

Try calling Honda Corporate, I had a water pump that went bad on my first car which was an Eclipse. I had an extended warranty on the car and the Dealer was suppose to replace the water pump. I took the car in to get just that done and they took the whole engine apart even after I told them I was going to buy another vehicle. I called Mitsubishi Corporate and I had the car back the next day fixed.

That is a Honda specification. I doubt that Yugo ever sold a car that looked that bad.

A local member had a carbon fiber hood installed a while ago and had a pretty bad fit. He too it to a different place and they were able to adjust it perfectly in just a few minutes. I don't know all how it's done, but it is definitely possible. Try some other place, see if they'll spend a few minutes on it for a few bucks.
