State law will dictate how important it is or not. As long as you have an amber marker light in the front you prob. will not have a problem with the cops.

The 'amber' or orange pieces of plastic in the outside 1/3rd of the headlight.

You can also get aftermarket diffusers. I have the JDM smoked style.
