Pics&Report on installation of rear strut bar, Cusco's
Time to get busy before the day is over.
As a bonus to what I and my friend mechanic did with clearing headlight housing work, we installed the Cusco rear strut bar.
The rear one is priced same $155 as the front strut bar. It is little bigger and looks much better than the stock one. Stock one seems sturdier enough so I really doubt doing this would help even to a small degree but I feel more secure that it is doing much better job because of more beefier construction.
This is the view of the stock rear strut bar. Two bolts on each side would lossen this thing and looks simple but you need some good tools because the left one is located in tight area.
Oh, you need to take the spare out, no biggie. Look how wimpy the stock Rear STB compare to Cusco's beauty.
Installed, very easy if you have the right tools
Close-up on the right side. Cool.
Spare tire is in. Be careful not the scratch the bar when you negotiate to put the spare tire in in the tight area. I think I wasn't careful and scratched a little. So this is the final look. I think I will leave it like that to show off the beautiful Cusco rear STB.
So now I finally have the matching front and rear strut bar made by Cusco. It is inexpensive but very good looking bars. Polished metal look certainly lighted up my dull under hood compartment.

Oh no.
I order the front and rear cusco strut bars. After seeing Randys install, I may have a problem.
My sound system is abit close to the rear bar. So it may have to be altered. Hoepfully this is do able. I'll see when it comes in. Like 8weeks from now.
