that was the car in the movie but doesn't belong to that guy. the owner is RJ DeVera, he was at the Irvine S2k Meet back on 8/18. i don't know about repainting it in black but it was in japan for the movie premiere there. check the threads for pics from the Irvine meet.

Yup,

That's RJ de Vera's S2K. I've asked him multiple time to come and join up to our board here. Alas, that is the busiest import tuner enthusiast I have ever met.

Unfortuneately he has had many problems with getting the S/C to work right. I referred him to the multiple threads at S2ki.com and referred him to member hecash to get his situation worked out.

If you notice, his rims are custom S2000 designed rims....they can be viewed at www.motegiracing.com

Here's his car in black:

This guy has way to much time/cash on his hands. Check out this quote.
"Yes, it was black in the movie. It was painted after the movie. The car is going to Japan for the release of the F&F. It will be repainted black for the time in Japan, then back to the multi colored blue."

So this car will have 3 layers of paint on top of the original Black from the factory!?! Sheesh!

Wonder how many extra pounds that car is going to weigh after that is all done. Paint isn't light you know.(even when dry)

In some way that car gives a bold statement. But yes, he has way to much time on his hands. It was a professional job, not just thrown together.
