Pictures of cutoff?

Beautiful cutoff. A picture of your 2007 would be awesome....
Thanks everyone for the input so far! On a side note, the deal with the 2008 didn't go through, so now I'm looking at several 2005 models... really hoping to sell my MINI and get into an S2000 very soon!

You're close...the term for the 06+ projector lenses you are looking for is "Fresnel". This means there are ridges built into the lens itself if you look at it closely. This makes the cutoff less sharp than the clear lenses. The cutoff is slightly more colorful and definitely sharper on the clear lens S2K projectors but the Fresnel style have amazing output too and are still very close to the clear lens style. You can't get much better than the s2000 headlights in terms of output no matter what year you have.
I built a retrofit on my old WRX using clear lens AP1 projectors. Here's a picture of what the cutoff looked like:
I can try to snap a picture of my 07's cutoff this weekend if you want, or someone on here can post a picture of their AP2 cutoff for reference.

what the OP is talking about is the lens itself. The 00-01 lenses aren't frosted like the newer models. Frosted = less sharp line = less "sudden flash" to other drivers. The non-frosty lens cutoffs just look better though.

From what I have read, the 04-05 AP2s also have clear lenses and in 06 they switched over to the Fresnel lens style in the next generation projectors. My old S2K was a 2006 and I can verify that my lenses did indeed have the rippled sections built into them. I can't completely vouch for the 04-05 projectors but from what I have read it seems this is the case.
They also changed the cutoff very slightly when the switched over to the next gen projectors. I found these pictures after doing a Google search for the differences. You can see the first gen clear lens style has a sharper and more colorful cutoff.

Great pics TrboLag ^^^ You can see that the 2005 uses the first gen clear lens projectors that the AP1s use as well if you look at the step in the cutoff. This confirms what I was mentioning earlier about the 04-05 lenses being clear as well.
