Default Pissed off, need help, alignment issues...

Ok, I have had my s2k now for a little over a year, since I have had it though I have been battling with alignment issues. Two different dealers have had the car and done the alignment no less than 4 times, there are currently less than 9K miles on the car too... Anyway, I have contacted Honda of North America and opened a case regarding it, but I am worried that they will do nothing about it. This has been my favorite car on the market for a few years now, and I have owned about 4 Honda's and never had a problem like this. I have this feeling, or fear that Honda is not going to do anything about it, which really sucks, because the wheel is off by several degrees, its like some POS, old, Saturn!

Has anyone experienced a problem like this? Does anyone know what might keep the vehicle from ever being perfectly aligned or to loose its alignment over only a few weeks time? I do not motorX or anything like that, shoot I only drive the car 2 or 3 at most time s a week (mainly because its sucks to drive it). What should I do about this, should I try and find a mechanic and take it to them, I

You can always loosen the coupling on the steering shaft an adjust the wheel to be straight then retighten. If you tires are not wearing and you car doesn't pull to one side or the other that would be the only thing I can think of.

agreed....

also remember, you're driving a car with a very tight and fast steering ratio, and a short wheelbase.

So things like road crowning, tire pressures can cause your wheel to be crooked.

Cool, thanx. How hard is it to loosen the wheel and adjust it? Also, It may be a tire issue, they did replace them at one point but it didn't help. It seems to be worse at higher temperatures.

cant tell whether you really have wheel alignment issues or just the steering wheel alignment-
steering wheel gets pulled with a special tool and reinstalled is my recollection (not positive that it needs to be pulled)- in any case not hard for the dealer to do- mine was done in the first year of ownership. has been perfect ever since.
if you mean wheel alignment- take it to a good speed shop and ask for an aggressive street alignment. did that to my car- its a different car now... i was very surprised at how much difference it made. before the car tracked straight, but was ultra sensitive to road conditions and would get off track if the street was not perfect (none are)- now it tracks and handles like it should!

Have the Honda NA rep take a look at it. There's an answer to why it is driving like that. Take the car to an alignment shop that is not a Honda dealer and knows what they are doing to have a look too.

I take it by your info that you live outside Kansas City (Olathe). If so, can you hook up with another owner in your area to see if you car is really handling wierd or you are just flippin' out?

BTW, I have a MY04 with 11K miles. Alignment has always seemed fine and tire wear appears even across the tires. I am very pleased. I run 32psi. You know this car is VERY senistive to tire pressure, don't you?

When you say alignment 'issues' what exactly do you mean? Just that your steering wheel is not exactly straight? Do your tires wear unevenly? does the car pull to one side when accellerating, braking, cruising? Do you have any alighment spec #'s? Before #'s and after #'s? The alignment of this car is highly adjustable, Any decent alignment shop ought to be able to center your steering wheel without pulling it.
All that said, my steering wheel came slightly left of center from the factory, and I have just left it that way as my tires are wearing and car is handling perfectly. I'll probably get it centered when I do my 1st tire change.
