Default planned on buying a laguna

I'm at the Honda dealer friday doing an oil change on my 01 s2000.....I see my salesperson and he asks me if I'd like to trade up.He said he had a red one coming
in but since my car is red there was no interest.Almost as a joke I said if you can get me a laguna blue by Monday,I'll take it.He went into a back room and returned saying he had made a deal with their sister dealer and the car would be here monday.Although I was a little nervous about coming for an oil change not a new car I ate it up and started getting pretty exited. We sat down got all trade in stuff done and the wait till Monday was on.My only other apprehensive feeling was letting someone else drive the car 50mi to pick it up so I'll called early Monday morning thinking i could tag a ride and watch the driver.Anyway,I don't catch the ride
and the driver comes back with a suzuka blue. The deal was cancelled

Thanks for listening guys

Has what ever happened to anyone else? A dealership trying to get you to trade up or trade in on a new model? Yes. Making a deal for one color car and then have them bring the wrong color? No.

Take it as a sign that you should just keep your MY01.

That's kind of funny. They came back with the wrong color.

I was wondering why that other dealer would give up a Laguna Blue. Sister Dealer or not.
