hyee everyone.. i need help deciding between 00-03 s2000... is that true that 00-01 s2k in white with black n red interior... n 02- all red interior if white exterioir... cuz i know for shure that i want a white s2k.. wit red interior... n another question... if i purchase an 01 s2k .. can i still buy a hardtop that 02 n install it to the 01 s2k?? is that possible!!

 

Yes the 00 and 01 white had the mixed black/ red interior

02 white had the full red interior

OEM hardtop will fit any s2000 any year. The mounting kits differ though. So, yes if you get the top off of an 02 you can put it on an 01 but you'll need to buy a mounting kit.

 

IMHO the changes made to the '02 and later models are worth getting, the glass rear screen and nicer alloys being the main ones.

Shorthand aside, it reads like you are most interested in cosmetic options, so I say pick something you like. If the mechanical workings are important to you, I would lean towards a 2002 1/2 or 2003 as most crucial improvements were in place from then on. Good luck.

 

Get as new as you can afford. Preferably 02-04'.
