Default Plastic gear lever / assembly surround. What's it called??

My second S is nearly three years old (montecarlo blue). Good as ever, tho it now has 51k km now on the clock. It's in perfect nick, mechanically etc, but the gear surround plastic trim thing is looking flakey and scraped - probably from the metal of my watch-strap. Silly little thing to ask about, but what's this thing called? Does anyone have a full service manual that identifies all the parts? Because I would like to replace it - it just looks a bit tacky.

If it's the part I'm thinking of, you should take a little rubbing alcohol and rub off the remainder of the paint. If it has a nice chrome finish underneath and matches great if you have a Titanium shift knob. A lot of people have that problem of that piece looking scratched up...

It's called the shift boot trim. There are several threads about using isopropyl alcohol and an abrasive to remove the paint and make it look shiny.

I took the more expensive route and covered it with a JDM Honda titanium stick on trim piece.

I had this replaced a couple of times under warranty because it was scuffing and looking subpar. The bad news is you have to replace the entire console section it is plastic welded to.
