Plastic Rear Window - Warranty
Looks like I'm getting my factory rear window replaced under warranty by Honda. The window got pretty hazy and became a nuisance to drive around with when the top was up. I took my car to get service at Honda about a month ago or so (right rear tailight replaced too)and mentioned the window to them. When I picked up my car they said if it doesn't clear up they'll go ahead and replace it under warranty.
Called them two days ago, they said they had to order the part. Got a call yesterday saying its in. Set up my appointment just a few moments ago for next Tuesday. Not sure if anyone else had this type of problem, but if you do you might want to get it checked out by Honda.

Cool...I'm glad you got the problem resolved.
I have a question for you guys...
Once in a while when I put the top down...the plastic window wrinkles up on itself instead of folding in half.
In the end...I get this small crease at the center top of the window, and it annoys me.
What's up with that?

Phantom - I may be taking this up with the dealer as a warranty item. I'm having the same thing happen. A crease that distorts the rear view. I tried to get something going in the way of a recall letter but it just kinda died out. I made up a letter and everything that shoulda went to Honda. It's somewhere on this site. For now, it's not that bad but you can rest assured that it WILL be a warranty item. It is really a hazard and I'm sure it's not something that Honda would not want to just sweep under the carpet.
Jaykkub - Congrats on getting the work done!

I had my plastic rear window replaced under warranty and I'm not completely satisfied with the work.
The Raptor had his replaced three times and he had severe problems too. Here's his thread:

My replacement window is not as tight as it should be. In addition the repairman scratched the paint on the door frames when he removed the seats. A body shop touched up the spots but you can still see them. Honda replaced the plastic pieces the repairman scratched.
Good luck.

Here is the UK bulletin: Honda UK rear screen care
I would advise caution though, the water is very hot so be careful not to scald yourself and don't let the bowl touch the rear window when pouring the water. (Another UK owner put a scratch across his window doing that
) The hot water treatment left my window as smooth and taut as a piece of glass so its worth considering if you run out of other options.
Wow. I didn't realize there was so much involved when the rear window is replaced. We are talking about the window here, right? Not the whole frame? Sounds like a PITA job to do just for the window.
