Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows where to buy a replacement plastic rear window for an 01 S2000. Mine got torn and I need to replace it. I would prefer gettting a glass window put in but I am not sure that is possible. Thanks!

I believe you will have to change out the whole soft top. Correct me if I'm wrong fellow members. At least now you can upgrade to the Robbins glass softop and purchase it from HardTopGuy.

He can change out the whole top ... or he can just buy a new window. The labor to replace the window is quite a bit, though.

you wont be able to replace it with a glass unless you buy a whole new top. but u could by the plastic window from hardtopguy. i believe its like 190 or somethin like that.

Just replace the rear plastic window. No need to replace the whole top. The process is not hard at all. Takes about 2-3 hours for your first time. You just have to take apart the rear section of the soft top. Search for a DIY with some pictures it makes it a whole lot easier. Ive done two, mine car and a buddies car. Drilling out the rivits and then replacing them takes the longest. :thumbup: PM'd You.

I would just go ahead and replace the top with a brand new glass top from hardtop guy. Theyre about 800 and its definately worth it. And much easier than having to install a new glass rear window. Also if you were to replace the plastic with the glass you would probably need the entire back part of a glass soft top, since the glass window is smaller it has much more material below the glass window compared to the plastic window. Look at the back of an 02+ and youll see what im talking about compared to an 01

Just cut the old plastic out leaving about a 1/4in of the perimeter and glue another piece in.
I wouldn't replace the top until it was necessary.

Wow, Glue in another piece..... :banghead: That has got to be one of the most ignorant post I have read. The rear plastic window zips out for a reason. When you fix things do it the right way and not half assed!!!

Sorry my post was so dissapointing.
Spend $800 and toss a perfectly good top doesn't sound too smart either.

Dude.... you suggested for him to glue a piece on the soft top... I understand you save money but damn some things you just cant be cheap on. I wonder whats holding your engine together, bubble gum and paper clips?

The plastic window sucks, and its so much easier to break and hard to keep clean. If my soft top ever got ruined, so much as a small cut on the plastic, then ill shell out the 800 and throw away a perfectly good top :rolleyes:
