Just got my 02 red S 2000 yestarday, and today when i was washing the car I noticed the plate light is missing!! I mean the whole unit, no cover, and they just use glue tape to hold up the light blub. Also I noticed the rear bump is damaged!!! So now what should I do???
I bought my car from another city 2 hrs drive, so can I repair my car in my local Honda??!

If the rear bumper is damaged, and the light was held on with tape, I would seriously consider calling the original dealer and ask WTF?!! If they were willing to sell you broken equipment and not tell you, who knows what other damage they're covering up.

yup, call em pronto, esp if there is damage that they did not inform you about. not sure what the laws are up there to protect consumers, but if the cost is > so much of an amount down here - like 500 bucks - they must disclose this. if not, fine? breach of contract? not sure exactly, but I do know of another car owner that was not informed of this and after a lawsuit and 8 months, they finally paid up. another local S2000 owner purchased his new from a friend at a dealership and it had considerable damage with only a few miles on the ODO, and it was taken back the next day. 2 hours or not, they should also pay for your troubles to get it back to them. poor workmanship if they are taping the car back together. please keep us posted.

that is correct in a worse case scenario, but if that does happen then the car should be taken PROMPTLY to a local dealership and/or local shop for evaluation.

digital photos? something, anything to send over to them.

No digital cam, but just phoned my salesperson, and he said he would talk to the boss. Also I have to take the car back for them to take some pics to send to Canada Honda.
Damages includes, The front bumper (which I have already been told), Scatch on the driver's side mirror, damage on the rear bumper, plate light unit is missing. Also when I first got my car, it already has 113 KMs on it.
So under these circumstances will Honda Canada buy back my car?? I know I have right to get back my money in the first seven days, but I dont wanna do that, coz I like the car. O yes there are two different color on the front bumper too, the bottom red seems darker than the upper red!!!!
and my vin is 0007..

Damn, what kind of car did they sell you???? Seems like it was used or something with that much damage to it already. Take it back and demand a new one from them.

You were expecting a new care sale when you handed over your money, so asking for a new one to replace the obviously damaged one is not out of order if the damages were beyond a certain dollar value. The fact that the red color varies is a positive sign of a repaint, and the fact that it included not only the rear bumper, but the front and sides as well says volumes. This car may have been in a minor fender bender (spinning into a shallow ditch at low speeds, etc.) during a test drive (or even the dealer driving it for fun) and they chose to patch it up and get it out the door in a hurry. Make sure you're taking names, dates, and numbers as you go since you'll need them if things go awry in a court of law. If this car was in an accident, demand to see a copy of the police report....if one wasn't filed, you have No way of knowing how much actual damage was done, and they could be passing off a real screwed up machine to you (illegally, of course).
