Default Playin in the rain

I had fun this morning slippin and slidin in the rain at around 45 degrees. I have plenty of traction left on my so2's, but you wouldn't think so if you weren't used to driving this car in the rain.

I'm still amazed at how good the traction can be in the dry and warm temps, but how shitty it can be in mildly cold and wet surfaces. I guess that's why they're summer tires . Damn good thing I have great snow tires(Blizzak LM22's) for the winter as this is my DD!

I didn't go all out and do any 360's or anything, just some spirited driving purposely, but carefully, pushing the limits a bit to make this gloomy day a bit brighter. It's just nice to go out and have some fun every once and a while...well, maybe a lil more often then that

Makes me feel like a kid again, but with experience and better judgement!

Edit: Well with some experience and a lil better judgement anyway

What? You didn't spin out and hit a wall or land in the ditch up against a chain link fence?

As you said. Paraphrasing "gotta practice to learn what the car can do and how to do it"

I remember when you posted those winter 'playtimes'. I love to have fun in the snow too, though it's also in an empty parking lot.

Hey I'm thinking of getting snows soon. My rears S-02s are about 80% gone. It's not that cold yet mid-50s. But I drive like a granny in the rain.

Has very little grip, but if I go slow, I can feel the rears begin to go away as if they are nibbiling at the road. It's not scary so long as I go slow. But on the highway in the rain, with almost gone rears it's scary.

I highly recommend Blizzak LM22's for a performance snow tire.

I usually drive pretty mellow in the rain/wet road conditions myself, just felt like havin a lil fun today

Something else to consider if you've got a lot of snow where you live and you're kind of new to RWD driving in snow/ice:
