OK I really think Mazda hit this one on the head. In the Mazda 3 they are adjustable inside the car with a little switch. Really cool, I know in more expensive car they are self adjusting do the S2k not adjust at all?

because its HID and when you hit a bump the light tend to shine a lil brighter.. so they think we are highbeam at them...

Where exactly do you live? Regardless, the first thing you should do is report this to the police and provide the card as evidence. His prints all over it, and if he's that much of an ass, he probably has priors, which means his prints are probably on file.

I would send him straight to jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

Nothing just because they are HID projectors... it's that the suspension and weight shifts look like we're hi-beaming them when we hit bumps.

If you took one of the Civics with S2k bodykit + headlights, they wouldn't have this problem. I'm convinced it's our suspension... I can see my light beam dancing up and down on the street signs under differing throttle conditions.

Some aren't adjusted properly... and especially on hilly or bouncy roads, the change in angle looks like we're hi-beaming the person we're behind.

Heck, even if they are adjusted properly... look at the change in the light cutoff under WOT vs heavy braking....
Ya. Every now and then I go over a big enough bump, or a bump coming over a hilltop, to bounce the light cutoff line above the rear window of the car ahead of me. I always wince inwardly in sympathy with how he must be feeling. Our HID low beams are much brighter than our high beams.

Of course, when I actually want to flash my high beams at someone, I kind of wish I could use the HIDs instead....

My brother's a bit of a gun nut, and he's had a phrase he uses for times like those. Some people are alive simply because its illegal to kill them.

It's not advocating murder, but just goes to show that some people serve no purpose in the grand scheme of things. IMO, people who pull that kind of thing fall into that category.

I am so sorry for the thread starter. Just hearing about this makes my blood boil, and my lips twitch.

Just rest assured that this dipshit will pull something like this one day and he won't be so lucky when he gets caught in the act by someone with a .40 and a bad temper.
