Default Please Help a Brother Out! Used '04; Good deal?

looking at a used '04, 3700 miles

asking 26 900...and the seller isn't budging much...willing to part with it for only $400 less than that.

Is $26 500 a pretty good deal?

If you're talking CDN dollars than that is one hell of a deal. But I'm assuming USD at that price?

That's a decent deal if the car is perfect. Garaged and properly maintained.

You may be able to get that deal on a left-over new '04.

thats what i plan on doing....offering him $25 000 even and seeing if he bites.

I guess my question is what should my upper limit be?

also, what questions should i ask about the car? Never bought a used car before, especially over the phone! (this car is about a 4-5 hour drive from where i am).

Bought a NEW black/black 2004 S2000 for $27000+destination+tax. Had around 100 miles from people test driving.

$25000 for one that is used would be a great deal provided that you are confident of the quality. Guess I would be wary of someone willing to just get rid of a car that quickly...

Also there is another new silverstone 2004 s2000 at the same dealership where I got my black one. (I am absolutely no way affiliated with the dealership)

Maybe could get a better deal then me if you push them.
