yo sonusfaber. in my opinion, i would buy an 02. 02 models, with the exception you pointed out and also the white/ tan interior, have the same exact features as the 03 models. why pay $200 more than last year's msrp for an 03 when an 02 can be had for under msrp? the drawback is that, for some reason, there aren't many 2002 s2000s in dealership inventory in southeast pa. i had to place an order for an 02 last february at lehigh valley honda just to receive one this past may. i believe phillipsburg easton honda in phillipsburg has a sebring silver in stock but i don't know what the interior color is. if your heart is bent on having a silverstone, buy what you want.

I would get the 02. Also of note, the decel buzz, 1-2 grinds and other tranny problems are ONLY related to 00 and 01 models. The 02's have all the tranny TSB's performed and are up to date.

The choice is blatantly simple... go with the 02.

I agree. Go with the 02'. I already put down a deposit on a spa yellow, that should come in on Monday. I want to find out first-hand what all this commotion is about .
If you have to wait until Dec. to get an 03', then how much are those couple of months worth to you.

Just get the My02 now. The weather is getting colder up there, and the model year is ending, so you should be able to swing a better deal they just MSRP. They have changed nothing that matters, so the cars are the same. You will not be sorry.

But try this... Go to a Nissian Dealer, and get a test drive of the Z. Drive it to the Honda Dealer and look at the S. this way they know you are ready to buy.

Congrat's on the new car. Just remember to lookup the Houston regional section for what the other local owners are doing.

You should be able to get below MSRP for sure. I bought mine in July down here in the South for $31,500 so you should definitely be able to get a great deal up there. Good luck!

Another thought: you could wait another month or two until winter hits and then try to catch a really good deal on a leftover '02.

buy the 02 if you can get at least $1500 off the MSRP since that would cover the depreciation.
