Default Please help!! Exterior Lighting Issues

I bought my car in July of 2020 and it has had the following symptoms since I bought it:
  • Headlights flicker on bumps, Brights are significantly better but still flicker
  • Either both or a single headlight will turn off for minutes at a time
  • Headlights flicker when closing the doors
  • Headlight flicker when the dash is smacked just right
  • Turn signals blink fast (not all the time but frequently)
  • The car will not start with brights turned on
  • The interior dome light will not turn on
  • Taillights flicker and periodically shut off for minutes at a time
  • Parking lights shut off periodically
  • When the light flicker, the dash reverts to the day setting and an audible click (similar to the turn signal click) is heard.
I have replaced the turn signal switch with a used example from a car with far fewer miles but the issue changed. Now, it has the same symptoms but it seems to get worse as I drive which leads me to believe it is a heat issue as well. Also, when I replaced the old turn signal switch, it was wet with an oily substance when I removed it. I am stumped. Please help!

Have you replaced the fuses associated to these lights? Make sure they are tight in there?
Have you replaced the actual light switch on the steering column?
Any chance mice have been chewing on the wires behind dash?

Electrical issues are always a PITA.

Also have your battery checked—-nearly any auto parts store will check it for free —they roll the tester out to the parking lot and check it while it’s in the car.

once you know that it’s good, you can chase down the issue.

I’d check out the ground side of the battery cables as well as where the grounds attach to the car—-given all the different issues, It may be a ground issue as to me it seems it’s less likely all those different positive connections would all be bad at the same time

The light switch and the turn signal switch are in the same assembly so yes it has been replaced but now the symptoms are different, not fixed. I have not really looked into the fuses but perhaps I should. There are no visible issues with wires behind the dash from what I have seen.

The battery is brand new. I bought the battery a few days after purchasing the car as the previous owner knew it was bad. I just do not understand where the issue would be coming from
