Please Help A Fellow Roadster Owner

A member of the Miata community has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.
Heaven knows I have spent as much or more than most people on my car--things like shift knobs, shocks and what not. Take the time to spend a few bucks on something REALLY worthwhile--a person. Donations can be made to:
Christine Miata c/o
James McGignn
35 Butler Ave.
Southington, CT 06489
You can also send a word of encouragement to Christine at:
mx5mama@ivillage.com
Our time here is short, do good while you can.

I don't know how many of you guys are aware of it, but we have a member of our own S2000 community in the New England area battling a tough fight with cancer at the moment. I won't put his name out there unless he wants it revealed, but I would ask all of you to keep him in your prayers! You'd be hard-pressed to meet a more terrific guy, and I REALLY want to see him at the next S2KDays or Dragonball Run!
These two posts really put the "which car is better" arguments into perspective.
Our prayers are with all those who are battling disease regardless of which car they drive or which community they belong to.

BTW, I sent Christine an email of encouragement and she emailed me back within the hour. What a terrific lady! Her cancer is actually cervical and otherwise abdominal in nature, and she faces a pretty tough road ahead. Please help her out if you can!
I just sent her an e-mail too. I hope she sends me one back.
I don't want to steal the show but, I was diagnosed with pre-cancer of the same type as Christene, last week. I need to have a biopsy done to see how bad it actually is. I hope it was caught in time.

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to visit your forum because I've been getting the most wonderful, sincere, supportive emails from members of your community. I thought this was confined to my Miata forum. I really didn't want it to go further than that. I am disabled, developed cancer, sold my car to pay bills. Big deal! I posted my good byes on my forum and figured that was the end of that. Then, all this happened, even after I tried to discourage it. My fellow Miata members took it upon themselves to do all this. I never asked for money from anyone, that's why I sold my car. To take care of myself. I certainly want other people involved in this. I started visiting other forums because I was getting some nice emails. I recently stopped visiting because some of the other people were down right mean. I can understand their skepticism and I don't want anything from anyone, but I just don't need to deal with anything negative at this point. I wanted to make an effort to visit you guys though. The wonderful, supportive, sincere emails your members have sent have stood out from the rest. I hit it off with one of your members, and now we're email buddies. I read that you have a member with a similar fight and that is your communities top priority as it should be. I think that's great that our car clubs are so supportive. It really helps when you have bad days. I just wanted to say HI to everyone. You really have a great group of people here. (and a really cool car)!
Take care everyone.
