Saliv8, don't even THINK about going to the darkside...!

You have a magnificent white beauty...you would hang yourself if you sold your S2000 and we would all hate that. Your adorable wife is correct...don't listen to those evil voices in your head!!

saliv8,
If you don't have that white beauty, then you won't be able to lead us around Knoxville for the next East Meet. It would be a shame if Mack or Hoser had to fill in for you. I know they will also try to bring you to your senses.

(sorry so long)
I never thought I'd want to drive a 4 door car after driving the S2000, but I must admit having two cars makes me appreciate both types of cars for their respective strengths. I am just fortunate that like Socal and FlyingPig, I have two immensely enjoyable cars that are at opposite ends of the spectrum. My S2000 brings me so much joy, not only when I am Vtecing like a bat out of heck, but also when I have to commute and I see all those poor bastards in their BMW's and Mercedes that cannot enjoy the open top experience. Then I drive the TL and enjoy the quietness and luxurous ride (even though my TL is modded to be much sportier)
Solution for your situation: Get a 4 door compact or compact wagon that can still handle a bit. You will appreciate its ability to haul cargo etc...at least more than our S2000, and appreciate the S2000 alot again when having the constant comparason.
Good luck!

Gregstevens-
Thanks for the "adorable" comment...doesnt hurt to butter up the wife! You know he wont get rid of the car, he just wants reassurance.

Umm, don't take this the wrong way but you should see a shrink. I mean perhaps you "think" a different car would offer you some comfort but maybe you'd just find it an empty hole too. Is there something these cars offer you are missing or are you missing the car buying experience, that feeling of rape and buggery you get as you leave the dealer?

Anytime I feel the least bit disposed to get rid of my Stook I jump in my wife's CL and go for a nice comfortable cruise, adjust the AC and listen to the Bose Stereo. I can take it to the carwash and just run it through without a second thought. Would I trade the S2000 in for one? Not on your life! Would my wife, who has a two-hour daily commute, trade her Acura for a Stook? Nope. We definitely have the both of best worlds.
