Default Police Approval

I just had something funny happen...

As I was turning left onto the main four lane road near my house a police offers pulls out from the right about 100 feet behind me. He zips up next to me and proceeds to pace me for about 300 feet, bumper to bumper.

He then turns his head, looks right and me, and FLOORS his car and tears off down the road.

I just thought this was hilarious and wanted to share

Why didn't you take off after him? I'm sure you could've reeled him in.

I've had that happen to me once. I was coming back from a business trip and landed in O.C. late. I got in my S, from not driving it for a few days, and opened her up. I had the top down and I was going about 85/90 mph (on an empty fwy), and this cop came out of nowhere, bumper to bumper with me. Whether it was me wearing a suit (w/ tie still on) or what, but he looked at me... nodded, and drove off. I thought that was pretty cool.

*edit* - it was like the new Shaft with Sam Jackson (where he's beating on that crack dealer)

When I was about 16 (the speed limit was 55 then), I was cruising my motorcycle at about 75 mph on the freeway. I had a cigarette hanging out of my mouth and a Highway Patrol comes from out of nowhere. The patrol car was cruising next to me doing 75 mph. This went on for about 10 seconds. I turned my head to look at them and I smiled. At that point, the driver floored it and they took off ahead of me.

when i first got the car, i got pulled over by a cop because of my headlights(lots of ignorant people still out there). well anyways, he let me go after i explained to him but he asked me if i can show him the (like under the hood, etc, etc) and i got him sold. he said he was going to buy one in the near future. these are his exact words:

"damn, never knew that honda made one of these badboys"
