Midlife what? You obviously are discounting the notion that many of us have owned sports cars since we were young turks like you. So this is nothing new at all. BTW my first was a '58 Triumph TR3A. Had the mill bored out from 121.5 cubic inches to 150 and replaced the twin SU carbs with Weber sidedrafts. Little puppy moved out smartly in its day!
