Poll: Former del Sol owners, speak up and represent!!!
I lo
ed my Milano Red '97 del Sol VTEC. The only car that could have replaced it is my 03 Sebring S2000
But I still miss the sol, and I miss being able to roll down the rear window, even in the rain!
(I also miss the relatively large amount of in-cabin storage room.)
Moving from the Honda's only convertible and the highest specific output engine (at least in the case of the VTEC model) in the world to Honda's only convertible and highest specific output engine in the world makes perfect sense, so I figure there are probably lots of former (or even current) sol owners on this board.
Speak up and share you Sol with us!
I still have my 97 VTEC. My S2000 days came and went, although I certainly miss it at times.
When I bought my S2000, my original plan was to trade the del Sol but as the time drew near, I just couldn't let it go. I had originally planned to buy a mid-80's beater Accord for winter, but the del Sol got me through winter #'s 4 and 5 just as well as the first three years I owned it.
I got rid of the S2000 as it was too much of a toy with being self-employed now. My daily driver is a 2003 Element (EX, 5 speed) and the del Sol is still here and I can't wait for summer!
The other toy is going on the block soon, a 99 VFR800 with under 11k on the clock. Either way, the del Sol will still be mine.
After all, they only made like 800 VTECs in 1997 (the final year of del Sol production.)

I miss mine. I'll tell you though, it sold REAL quick. I probably should have asked for more...
