Poll: How Many Miles on Your S When You Bought?
OK, need some advice and would like to take the pulse of the group.
I have a Utah dealer offering a 2005 S (Sebring with red/black) for $29,632 with installed headrest speakers included.
The car has been on the lot since Jan 2005 and Honda (he says) offers incentives to dealers to move stagnant cars. Hence the good price. (Utah is a slow market for S's).
There are 89 miles on the odometer. (That scares me.)
Sebring is not my first choice. I wanted Silverstone. And there is a Denver dealer offering me a Silverstone with only 9 miles on the odometer but the price with speakers is 30,780 ($1,200 more).
So I am debating taking a car that is not my first choice of color and has a bit too many miles on it (redlined?)
versus
the color I want and the car right off the truck for $1200 more.
I can get over the color but am I making too big a deal about the miles?

I'd pay the extra since its the exact color you like, plus you'll know exactly how the car was treated since brand new. Its never good for cars just to sit on the lot for such a long time.....all that sun exposure, test drives, etc. all add up. Its probably one of those things you'll regret down the road unless you get the exact one you want.

mine had 36 on it, but the salesman drove it back from another dealership because i wanted it that night. my opinion is get the silverstone. itll only be a couple bucks more a month and youll have exactly what you wanted.

My heart and gut say go with the Silverstone...but my pride is preventing it.
I already walked out of the dealer today who had the Silverstone because it was a "Saturn-like" no haggle price dealer- and I always negotiate. Their price was 30,094 but they wanted 686 for the speakers. I refused to pay the full 686.
So I was hoping they would call me back tomorrow - if they don't, I may have to swallow my pride.
