Default Poll: Take a look at your headlight assemblies please...

Folks,

I'm curious about something. Take a look at this picture below. Please note the area circled. See that little "tab" there? Well do me a favor, out of curiosity, and take a look at your car headlight assemblies. Is that "tab" visible in yours?

Please note that this is a poll and I'm curious to get feedback from a large number of users. Look at your headlights and please consider responding to the poll. Please answer the poll to the best of your ability based on the poll options being made available to you. Feel free to post additional comments regarding what you noticed when you inspected your headlight assemblies for this tab. Also would be curious to know if "seeing" this tab was a surprise to you as a result of this poll or if you'd known about the exposed tab all along. Since I cannot include it as a "poll option," I'd also be curious to know if you are seeing it in the passenger's side, but not the driver's side.

Thanks for your willingness to participate. Here is the image of the "tab":

Anyway...just use this as "an exercise in boredom" from the winter blahs and help me out here.

Thanks,
Dave

PS. The pic here is not a "real" JDM-spec light. This is a pic from a light that has recently been converted. I only make this point to pre-answer questions related to the clear diffuser in the pic. I want poll results from *ANY* owners...whether you have OEM stock amber lenses or converted diffusers. Again, much appreciated

I noticed that these tabs are only noticeable on the JDM type diffusers. Is it possible for these tabs to be cut using the Dremel tool?

So buttons . Just kidding. Really, like I stated initially, I'm just curious to get some feedback from owners -- as questions about the visibility of this tab has come up a few times when I've cleared folks corners for them. I am just curious to know if this tab is visible in owner's headlight assemblies. That's all.

Thanks for playing.

MY02 - stock. Visible on both sides, but you have to look REALLY hard. The fit between the lens and the body is much smaller than it appears in your picture, and the tab is mostly behind the plastic.

I would have absolutely never noticed if I wasn't looking for it.
