Sloped windsreens may look good but are god-awful claustrophobic when you are sitting behind one, may as well not be driving a convertible as far as I am concerned.

To me this is one of the beauties of the S2000 - the airy spaciousness that you just don't get in too many other modern convertibles. An upright windscreen is definitely the way to go.

I agree except that it isn't the "beancounters", its management. Their eyes are on their bonus' instead of the product.

The "beancounters" (cost accountants) and the engineers were the people who made the Japanese auto industry the powerhouse that it is today. The beancounters ideas, such as Activity Based Costing (ABC) helped to increase efficiency and profitability.

If the Pontiac Solstice is mostly comprised of pre-exiting GM vehicle parts, then it is a pre-existing POS, IMO.
