It's a Pontiac. I won't buy it.

 

Hey If I couldn't afford the S2000, this would be my next convertible as long as it weighed same or less than S2k.

 

I've personally seen the Solstice in person at the Dallas Auto show, and I will say that the Solstice is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. The car is simply amazing to look at.

Side point: Anyone who says "I won't buy "x" car because "x" makes it, is a complete idiot. You are so stupid and closed minded that you can't see past the name of a manufacturer to see that almost all manufacturers make at least one good car.

Examples:
Ford=GT40
Honda=S2000
Dodge=Viper
Chevrolet=ZO6
Pontiac=????(maybe solstice)


I guess people like you cant see over your Prada sunglasses and the huge label of your Tommy Hilfiger shirt is getting in the way.

 

Wow Ben, I think that was a pretty shitty thing to say. The guy thinks that Pontiacs are crap. I agree with him. You don't. Why do you have to get personal. I can understand getting personal if the guy attacks you but he attacked Pontiac.

I just spent all day yesterday defending myself and getting personal right back on another thread. Now, that thread is 1/2 page of information and 2 1/2 pages of bullshit. Don't let this thread get that way too.

C&D gave it the GM parts bin designation a few months back.

Ever driven a late model Grand Am or Grand Prix? Lots o pull in the low revs...and thats it. They are people movers.

US car companies just haven't figured out how to take advantage of trickle-down engineering like foreign companies (Honda) have.

Ben, I couldn't disagree with you more. They are overpriced, underpowered and not nearly as reliable as Japanese bikes. Next time you see a motorcycle broke down on the side of the road, look to see if it is a Harley. Nine times out of ten, it is.
