Default Poor fitment of AUT cooling plates?

Recently had AUT CF Cooling plates delivered to me. Eagerly waiting in anticipation, I had them installed the same night.

Was disappointed when I realised that the fitment of the plate was poor in a number of areas.

1) The 2 holes for the radiator mounts. I had to drill them out by at least 5mm on each side to accomodate the bolts.

2) The bonnet release lever jams into the plate at it's rest position

3) My bonnet doesn't latch in place like it used to. Have to press it down before it catches. I realised why after a few days. The bolts that are around the bonnet catch impinge on the CF plate. Now it's scratched and I'm afraid it'll crack given time.

Anyone else have these issues with the AUT Cooling Plate? What can I do now?
I ordered them from ITG.

I got mine from the same place. The fitment isnt perfect but hey its a copy like seibon.
However, the one I got was a lot better than yours.. only problem I had is one of the radiator bolts didnt line up but only by about 1.5mm.

a dremel with a sand stone grinding wheel works wonders trimming the areas in question. i had to do some trimming on my BYS cooling plate.

Could be that the fitment is off because it was designed for an AP1? Just guessing, because mine fits perfectly (everything lines up without modification). That's the only thing I can think of.

I think nobody replicates CF parts exactly because of the process. I expected mine to be perfect too. Then I sat down and put some time with the dremel to fix all the minor issues, including enlarging the latch hole. Just bore it out so nothing is forced and it will fit great.

I recently received one from Gary at ITG too. Mine had some minor weave flaws and was painted Sebring Silver which matches my car. Fitment on my MY03 AP1 was good overall. My only issue has been how much quieter the intake is with it installed. I kind of miss the growl.

Which metal bar thingies?

The ones that hold the radiator in place? I removed everything I could find to remove before fitting it on...

Ended up drilling the fitment holes by up to 5mm on one side. Fits now, but I'd have expected better fitment.
