OK.. after reading the actual description on Ebay, the insurance company totaled it. Now what I don't understand is why does he still have possess it and is able to sell it?

If the engine is still OK, it might be nice to have it (and other parts) as a spare (just in case).

The insurance company will sell the car(for a good price) to someone who usually buys totaled cars.
I think you may have dibs though.
There was a board member who was being robbed of pictures by a dealership selling an S2k on Ebay. He replace the pictures with ones exactly like the above, wrecked S2000s.

I don't think he's being truthful when he said that the damage is not serious!

Vehicle Description

$The S2000 has damage to the front left fender and door region. The fire wall is in tact, the windshield is not broken, the door needs to be replaced, the glass window is fine. The front left apron absorbed most of the hit, the only damage to the engine itself is the throttle control and cable. The engine starts right up. The left frame rail is off a few inches, the radiator, condensor, airbox, airbags, left tailight and left headlight need to be replaced. There is some damage to the left tailight, bumper cover, quarter panel region, all of it cosmetic and not serious. The roof and interior are perfect. As seen from the pictures. A conservative estamate of the engine, transmission, interior and roof combinded is $7500. Bluebook on the car in perfect condition is $27,500

Vehicle Condition

I am selling a 2000 Honda S2000 with 25,835 miles on it. I bought it with 18,000 miles on it. I had a Japanese body kit from Veilside, installed and painted by a bodyshop for $5000. I changed the oil three times since I had it, using Amsoil synthtic $50 each time. I wrecked the car driving in the rain. The bodyshop told me they could fix it for around $10,000 if I paid for it in cash and gave them 6 to 8 weeks to do it at there leisure. The insurance company said there was to much damage and they totaled it.

I personally don't see what the problem is with the car that a little Zaino couldn't fix.
