Porsche advertisement we can all relate to
There's a Porsche ad in the January Car and Driver. There's a picture of a Boxster with some text under it; the headline over the text reads:
"Used" is such a harsh word.
We prefer "previously obsessed-over."

I'm rather partial to the Porsche commercial during Sunday night football on ESPN where the guy is revving the engine with the phone right under the pipes.
My wife saw that and asked if I'd done it yet with the S!!

But its Honda Certified Used, so you can be rest assured they have driven it around the block twice and checked the fluids (not necessarily filled them, just check). Combine that with the HondaCare Extended Warranty that basically allows them to refuse most claims, stating "owner abuse" everytime something comes up.
With that in mind, why wouldn't you buy used?
Uh....wait. I bought mine used. I had the same fears as you. My last three Acuras were all brand new. Going back to "pre-obsessed over" was a difficult choice. Fortunately, the Honda car design and manufacturing quality shined thru. I can honestly say I have had no more (possibly fewer) problems with the used S2K than compared with the Acuras, and they were great cars.
Used domestics scare me. Used Hondas - not so much.
