I know...interesting it's got some much more potential on a S2000 as compared to a FWD vehicle...

jschmidt: were you there that day? I think I may have spoken to you about your RA-1...that is, if that was you.

For you guys tracking your S2000. Are you changing out the brake fluid? Recommended synthetic tranny fluid? I heard Mobil One Synthetic ATF is used by a number of race teams.

Thanks,

I have used R4S on the street/track with good results going thousands of miles and over 100 laps at the track before they got below 50% where they are more heat sensitive and can begin to crumble. I still use the R4S front and rear on the street, and on the rears on the track (with Panther+ on the front).
My experience is closer to fangfang's... Two days at the track (Hallett, notoriously hard on brakes) and my just-bedded R4S's were below 50%. No further wear observed after 15k street miles. Far better than stock, negligible noise and dust.

I spoke with one of the engineers at Porterfield (after smoking my second set of R4S's) and he told me that I'd spend less money buying separate pads for track (R4) and street (R4S). Supposedly they'll outlast the car that way.
