Positive/Negative connections on sidemarkers
Okay S2000 gurus, I've got a question about the sockets on the sidemarkers. On the two male connectors that are on the socket (opposite side of where you put the bulbs in), which connector is the positive, and which is negative?
Is it:
_
ositive
_ :negative
OR:
_ :negative
_
ositive
OR does it not matter?
The underscores illustrate the male connections, given that the socket is in the position of how it is plugged into the sidemarker lens, with 'STANLEY' written at the top of the socket. I tried searching, but couldn't find any results that helped me out. I am putting S2K sidemarkers on my Integra, and when I ordered the parts from the Honda dealer, I was unaware that the sockets did not come with wire leads.
Thanks!
Evan

Firstly, let me say I don't know the answer to your question.
With the standard incandescent bulbs it is not relevant as they are not polarised. However, if you wish to install LED bulbs (194s) they will work one way and not the other (ask me how I know).

I installed a set of clear side markers with LEDs for a guy recently. One didn't work and I was scratching my head when I realised that LEDs are polarised. I pulled the bulb and inserted again 180 degrees and hey presto, light show!
Sounds more like you are asking about the connector to the bulb carriage rather than the bulb itself. It'll only fit one way to the standard connector. If you're modifying it and using aftermarkets then as long as they are normal bulbs and there is no other electronics it won't matter.
Want to tell us what you are doing?

Sure. I am putting S2000 sidemarkers on my 1990 Integra. The S2000 ones are the same as the JDM ones for my car, so I went to the Honda dealership to order the parts. I was not aware that the sockets for the sidemarkers didn't come with pigtails with a length of wire. So then I ordered the connector (what plugs into the socket at the back, using male connects. The connector should have had female connects with wires in them, but they didn't. So I have to put my own female connectors in there, and I wanted to know if the top male connector (on the socket) is positive, or negative, that way I know which connector to wire to which turn signal wire. I know the bulb is not polarized, so I'm not worried about that right now.
Basically, with the 'STANLEY' imprint on sidemarker socket facing the top, which male connector is positive, and which is negative (ground)? Male connects are indicated with underscores:
STANLEY
__ <-positive
__ <-negative
or is it:
STANLEY
__ <-negative
__ <-positive
