Is it possible to drift a stock S2k on stock tires? It there anywhere that gives you and idea on how to drift or how to start drifting. or does the car need turbo'ed or supercharged? Thanks..

Yes, but not practical.
Stock S02's are not cheap (neither are RE050's for that matter). I would think you'd be better off buying some all-season radials. But I have no idea what type of tires the pros use.
Also, I believe most drifter's have a good deal of power under the hood. I can't see our car spinning the wheels through 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, & 4th. But yeah, you'd probably need some type of forced induction.

You can drift practically any car if you do it right (of course if you do it wrong you can wind up in the ditch). Find a nice big, EMPTY, flat parking lot and practice sharp slow speed turns hitting the throttle at the apex. You should be able to break the back loose with a little practice, then increase your speed, etc. until you are comfortable with some drifts on twisties on back roads.

A friend of mine drifts his stock S2000. He just has an intake and upgraded diff I think. You'd blow up your stock diff if you kept drifting on it. He also uses front rims for the back when he's drifting so he doesn't have as big of a contact patch. If you go to tire stores, sometimes they'll give you used tires that might fit and would be good for drifting. I definitely wouldn't do it with the S02's or RE050's.

Yes. Just don't expect your stock tires to last long. The stock tires S-02 in my opinion provide a lot of grip up to its limit, but when they slide on you they seem to (assuming you provoke the car to go sideways) understand that you want it to slide and will continue to slide nicely and controlled. Depending on how you look at this, this can be good or bad.
It just takes alot more work to break the stock tires loose on dry pavement because they are soft performance tires and will grip up to the limit, and when it goes it goes quickly, so you better be prepared.
There are lots of information on drifting that can be found by seaching yahoo and google, you just gotta search. Good luck and be safe if you try it.

I don't think its a good idea to mash on the trottle when the tires are not going to give, you'll just put alot of stress on the differential when you try to get it sideways and it doesn't want to go.
