do you think velcro might work?
i havent tried it yet, but will give it a shot. I am tired of the stupid carpet moving too with only 1 post. Bad design IMO.

Richard,

Are you talking about the stock carpet mat?

My car came with a second set of mats complete with a second driver side mounting post. I cut a small slit in the right edge of the floormat and when the mat was straight I drilled a hole and screwed it in. There was no need to slit the carpet you cant really see the area its in unless you look to closely...

Richard,

I could've showed you my car yesterday at the dinner meet. I have a 2nd carpet post installed in my car a couple of weeks ago. I bought the post from H&A and the grommet from the dealer. It looks OEM.

With our new mats, the post will be superfluous. The spiked rubber does not let them move around. But we'll likely put a post hole in them anyway.

Yes it is Rich. You could perhaps use a grommet kit (couple of bucks at the hardware store, look for the black grommets) ...

...and this anchor post from Handa (about $2.50 if I recall)

Sure is - I did it and it solves the problem. I used a Civic post (as I recall)... do a search I wrote up the whole affair.
