Default Possibly moving to an S2000.

What's up everyone, as you may have guessed I'm new here. I currently drive a Honda Prelude and I'm trying to get myself into an S2000 as soon as possible. I love the styling, and the feel (albeit, passenger seat but still).

My biggest concern is what to look out for when buying one, what are some tell tale signs that I should be wary of the seller as well as the car? When I first started driving I got the lude at my parent's discretion and of course, I ended up with an automatic lude with transmission problems that my parents are now expecting ME to pay for because they unknowingly told me to go through with the car.

I'm really excited and am looking forward to hearing everyone's response, thanks in advance!

My suggestion is to spend a few hours searching the numerous and informative threads that already exist on this, and then coming back with some specific questions relative to your circumstances. However, there are a number of spoon feeders who may chime in with good knowledge shortly. Either way, best of luck with your search and hope you end up in an S2 sooner than later.

Welcome! Yes I agree with the previous poster. There's a pinned section in the Talk forum in blue that will help you with your question.

I've already done my research, I'm simply trying to get the community's input on some things to look out for when looking for a used S2000. Owners tend to learn little things that can help tell you if something is wrong with a vehicle (such as where to check for signs of x, y and z).

For instance, I may know of common S2000 problems but I might not know how to spot them until I buy the car and the symptoms start occurring later in its life span, just looking for some precautionary advice.

Thanks for the input.

Read up on that thread and then when you start looking, perhaps find a local owner who can go with you to check them out.

Good luck!
