Just curious if I can tint the rear window...and will puttin my conv. up n down ruin the tint b/c it'll fold up the tinted plastic window?? Has anyone done this to there car and if so does anyone have pics?

 

If I remember correctly members have put a static tint that you can buy at home depot or other similar stores on the rear window. It went on the outside, and they were using it to prevent scratches to the plastic. All you had to do was cut it to size, and apply as directed?. There are many posts on it. Try looking up static tint on the search engine?

 

you can get rolls of static cling tint at autozone, etc, like $10. one roll is enough for 2 windows. only found 20% so far. haven't really had a problem w/ mine coming off so far. someone has put up a how to on applying it. just make sure to remove the paper backing BEFORE getting anything wet. i had water dribble on the paper and it just adhered to the tint, PITA to get off. ended up cutting a new peice.

 

yes, i have the tint on my car for +1 years holds up really good.
