Default Post-2003 but non-facelift?

I've fallen in love with the S2k and I am looking hard to get a good one myself.

On my quest, however, I've come across 04 and later models that still have a pre-facelift look:

Owner states MY06
Owner states MY05

Are there really post-2003 S2ks without facelift floating around or are the owners trying to sell 2003s and earlier at a higher price?

^Looks like nothing about it is AP2. The gauge cluster, center console, bumpers, tail lights, head lights, wheels.

Seems to me like either a scam or they don't know what they're talking about

Now that I look at it a bit more, I see the headlight washers, I'm guessing you're not from North America then.

Pretty sure at least in the UK the 2.0L 9k redline stayed but they did have the facelift at least.

My bad, forgot to mention both cars are European.

I am aware that all EU 2004s and later are still running the same 2.0L engine therefore the 9k redline stayed, but as far as my research told me all other changes post 03 are identical to the NA version, including the facelift.

That being said, any S2k not having the facelift must be 2003s or earlier, right?
Any more thoughts/input on that?

Edit:
I am curious about the thing you said concerning the headlight washers, what's different about them in regards to USA/EU?

Afaik all 2004 and later Euro S2000s are AP2 chassis, so that means the new nose, rear bumper, headlights, 17" wheels, revised interior, etc. The only thing that is significantly different is the F20 engine with its 9k redline.

Both the cars in the links you posted look like 2003 models to me - silver rings in the taillights, silver bezels around the IP, silver caps on the headrests, tweeters in the doors.

This link may help - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=483593

Also, check in with the Continental forums here and see what additional info members can share.

There's a group of very boring people in the UK forum who would love to correct you in a really sarcastic way. The 2004+ chassis still has AP1 stamped on it. Despite the car having everything an AP2 has, except for the engine being the 2.0.
Same thing on the EU dutch/belgium forum!

If you have access to the VINs try adding them into your account on the Honda Owners site (http://owners.honda.com/). It will tell you the year/color of the car when a VIN is input. I used this to find out more info about some S2Ks when I was shopping for them. Some sellers don't put up pics/colors right away but they do post VINs.

That's because Honda never updated the chassis designation, I assume to avoid crash test expenses. The fact is however that the car is updated with what we typically call AP2 updates.

That aside, the cars in the OP links are not "2004+" no matter what Europeans want to call them.

Everything in those pictures looks like AP1. Unless someone went through the trouble of converting everything from an AP2 to an AP1, but I highly doubt that.

Don't some countries designate model year based on the year a car sold, rather than mfr date? Perhaps these are late pre-facelift cars that sat on the lot when the updated ones became available?
