Default Plastic post on stereo cover

mine is missing. The dealer seems to sell the fastening bit next to the stereo face, but not the post that's on the inside surface of the door itself. I'd rather not have to replace the whole door.
Mine's been missing the little mushroom tip post since i got the car. it looks like this:

That square hole looks too perfect. is the post removable? It doesn't look like anything broke off.

Doesn't show as a separate part but it's obviously removable. The latch shows as a separate part but not the male pin. Complete door will fix it of course. Maybe someone has one?

The doors are insanely cheap, a new one can't NOT be an improvement over what you have. They're like $20-$30 to replace.

I priced the door at the dealer a while back. I forgot the price but it was way more than $20 or $30. I want to say it was over $200. But I could be remembering wrong.

My door is perfect otherwise. Anybody have that little plastic post?

That's nowhere near $200!!

Try hardtop guy and freshen up the interior under $40....

They're also all over eBay for the same price or less. I don't that anybody will have that extra little piece sitting around, if they have it it's for an extra door they have and it's on the door.

I stand corrected. I called the dealer again. They quoted me $87.35 for a '00 stereo cover. (I'm in San Diego county)

Thank you donkeykong for the hardtopguy.com link. I'll probably end up going that route. Still wish I could just snap in a new plastic mushroom tip

That dealer is marking up huge. MSRP on the Honda system I have at work is $59.95 CDN dollars. So like $45 USD and that is not dealer cost.
