I received an email from a member whom asked me to post this question as he will be on the road for a while and hopes to see an explanation to his question. Here goes

I have a 2001 S2000, according to the manual there is a warning when you leave the lights on....ours has no warning. The dealers have no idea weather it does or not, my wife has left the lights on several times. Is there a headlight on warning? Can you help? I'm really suprised how little knowledge these dealers have.

The only warning I can think of when leaving the lights are is the beeping sound when you open the door. If the lights are still on and the door is opened, a contant beeeeep is heard.

Yes........if you leave the lights on and remove the key you should she a rather high pithed "Beeeeeeeeee"......it will not go silent until you turn off the lights. This statement is made in reagrds to US export models...don't know about JDM or Europe/ Oceania.

So do Australian and New Zealand models - who the hell came up with that ridiculous word "Oceania". Probably that dickhead Webster, the guy who created the dictionary with all the words like tyre and centre and civilised spelt incorrectly.

"In addition to the audible warning, you will notice that the Honda S2000 provides a visual warning when the headlights are accidentally left on. In this instance, the area in front of the car is lit."

No offense, but how could someone leave the lights on in the S2K? I'm assuming this is a daytime thing (hope so... ) because at night it would be...uh...more than obvious. I can't help looking back at my car as I walk away from it day or night, maybe your wife doesn't love your S2K enough...lol.
