Default Potential buy

I am looking to buy an S & have come across one that is pretty much what I want to get. GPW AP2 ver2 with red and black interior. Unfortunately I am over 600mi away from said vehicle & the only pics of the undercarriage I am able to get are cellphone pics with the car on the ground. Any help would be appreciated & the pics :

Is this anything to be overly concerned with enough to walk away from the vehicle?

The exterior looks good from the pics in the listing & as well as the interior. One accident shown on Carfax involving the rear bumper & the person I spoke with said the VIN tag is still present which is a good sign. Other then that I do like the fact it's debadged because I would do that. If anyone sees anything I should be concerned with please don't be afraid to say so. One pioint of concern is how long the car has been at the dealer(74 days) which of course makes me think there is am issue that I'm not seeing in the pics & not being told about by the person I spoke with. He did state that there is lots of interest in the vehicle. TIA for any help

Very few S2000 sits for 2 weeks, let alone 2 months if it's listed for sale. That already is suspect. Maybe the dealer was asking for an arm and a leg?

But, a car sitting on the lot for 2 months and has had an accident? Walk away man.

No one should be surprised at a car sitting on a lot with what is going on in the world right now

Did I miss the mileage and asking price for this car only identified as "GPW AP2 ver2 with red and black interior," a cumbersome way of saying it's a 2007?

How 'bout a link to the advertisement?

Accident damage, de-badged, and an after market (red) rear sway bar among the only thing I can see isn't inspiring this is a low mileage unabused car.

Of course that is my first thought too, don't want a previously damaged vehicle for a weekend car.

Agreed, an S sitting on a lot that long is highly suspect. With what all is going on right now, it almost doesn't surprise me.

Noob question, is the red soft top what normally comes on an 2007 GPW? I had never seen a different color soft top besides the black one.

They all came with Black roofs. Aftermarket for sure. Better than the naturally torn roofs of this vintage car if you can stand the red color.

Have you seen the CarFax? Got the VIN? (I didn't see either.)

The photos all look good at this distance but so do some that have been total losses and come with salvage titles from being under water.

I did spend 10 minutes looking for things wrong in the photos. Random observations:

Can't see the exhaust. Air box is missing.

"CR" front spoiler possibly an Ebay item.

Front and rear H emblems mount via holes in the front bumper and trunk deck lid so there's been extensive refinishing at both ends.

I don't see any VIN tags on the front fenders and if they're missing the fenders are not original and if painted over often indicated lots of body damage. There is a hint of a VIN tag on the rear bumper.

Black outside mirrors?

Purse on passenger seat seems to be hiding something. Hole?

My paranoia is guessing the carpet is new and the seats recovered.

I might drive 60 miles to look at this car but not 600.

The "CR" looks painted and not a good one. Maybe it's just the picture, but the I see ridges at the bottom of the CR lip where the paint meets the black plastic. It's no big deal, barely anyone would notice it even.

However, do you really want to pay ~$20k for a car that has been in an accident? Sure, this is considered as a low mileage at 60k miles, but I can assure you that many S2000 still runs like a dream at 100k+ miles.
