That isn't a $20k S2000, especially with tax and dealer fees on top.

I feel like I’ve seen that car months ago at another dealership. Does it have 2 different sets of tires? I’m seeing conti and Michelin

All the above is kinda....whatever. Minor accidents, some haphazard modifications, etc.

What I wouldn't be able to look past at $20K....

Its been extensively enjoyed in snow/salt, that's for sure.

And probably by a crazy person/complete imbecile, because the splash guards are gone. What monster would do this? Why?

It appears to have an aftermarket exhaust. Looks like round mufflers from what little I can see so it’s probably pretty loud.
That red top makes me cringe but to each his own. I would personally pass.

I wouldn't necessarily avoid a car on CarFax "accident" alone. I had someone bump me while parking his car, which put a few small scrapes in my rear bumper with no structural damage. Made his insurance pay for it to a whopping total of $600, only to find out later it was flagged as an accident. If I had known the "accident" would end up on CarFax I wouldn't have bothered.

I don't see the plugs for the front license plate on the front fascia??? Aftermarket fascia??
