Default powder coating the rims?

my car has stock ap1 rims on it now. I am thinking to powder coating the rims. but one concern is for powder coating, they have to bake the rims up to 500 degrees. Wouldnt the Aluminum get weaker up to that high temperature??

I've never heard of anyone breaking or bending a rim as a result of powdercoating.

Unless they are retarted, and dip them into cold water when the rims come out of the oven (shock the metal), they will sustain absolutely no harm whatsoever, and actually, probably get a bit stronger.

there's some real events took place about cracked/broken rims with powdercoated wheels.

one of the event was posted in honda-tech, some dude broke a wheel(all the spoke were destroyed) and the respone from the MFG was that the powdercoat weaken the structural integraty of the wheel.

the percentage of failure is not that high from what a heard, but it does happen.
