Default Power dip between 2k -3k RPM?

I noticed there to be a slight power dip (or hesitation) when I floor the car between 2-3K rpm (I know I know, can't constantly keep it above 6K ). At first it was in second gear but I quickly realized it was there in first and third gear. Therefore, I can only conclude it is a characteristic of the F22C1 engine. I owned an F20C before and never noticed this behaviour.

I know certain Honda motors have strange power dips (i.e. RSX Type S).

I also have an K&N intake which is yet to be installed. I wonder if this will remove the power dip?

Why would you floor it at 2000rpm? Why would you ever be at 2000rpm in any gear besides 1st?

I've noticed that slight hesiation in my fiancee's AP2, but never in my AP1. I have no clue what it is though.

No its the big ass flywheel. After getting an 8lb ACT, all the issues that I though were DBW related were gone. DBW signals are virtually instant. Can any 04 to 05 owners chime in?

If the clutch is fully engaged, then the flywheel and engine are both spinning at road speed. I dont think it's the flyhweel. If he was going from 1st to 2nd and felt this I would concur. Hey, I could be wrong though.

04 here. Yes, mine does it. But any time it happens, my drving behavior could be considered "lugging" the engine, so I simply avoid high-load, low rpm.

Every Honda I've ever owned has had this characteristic in some form.
