i researched about it and it seemed like u had to remove the glove and secret compartment to fix it....so i was taking apart bunch a crap...to do the "trunk and power outlet mod"(http://www.modifry.com/freebies/old/trunksw/trunksw.htm) and i fixed the power outlet without taking too much crap apart! (sorry if this is a repost....)


so this is what i started with....

and i took off the vent pannel thingy and

i was able to pull back the side of the glove compartment and fit my hand back there..... so i put bunch of loctight(spelling?) and was able to screw the sucker on there!....

That Happened to my '05. Easy fix though. I don't know why they had to put the outlet THERE. Heck, Under the seat would've been easier then the console - not too mention less tacky.
