Default pre load suspension after drop?

im droppin my car on tein s tech springs, 2004 ap2, im gonna have my car jacked up, do i need to lower the car and then tight things up so then they can settle?
i dont know too much about suspension to be honest, how long does it take to settle? does it matter if its freezing out? should i drive normally for a while after?

its cool, i dont see the problom with just using factory specs, im just gonna tell my technician to do whats best for the car handling wise but not change tire wear drastically.
