I'm stepping out of a highly modded BMW 3 series into a pre-owned S2K very soon. Just wondering anyone can give me some advice as to what to look out for when shopping for a pre-owned S2K.

-any major mechanical flaws/defects to watch out for?
-how to know the S2K is in good condition?
-any specific problems plague the S2K?

Also, how reliable is Carfax??

Please, any help would greatly be appreciated. I fear the worst if i end up buying a lemon S2K!

Carfax ONLY works if it was turned into an insurance company. I bought a car with MAJOR front end damage that had been fixed, and apparently paid for out of pocket, and never showed up on carfax.

Everyone is gonna tell you to use the search function to find info on the cars.

So far what I have found is there are no MAJOR problems with the car, but look at the rear window, and check the oil.
