Default price difference? hardtop vs oem soft top

what is the price difference?

OEM soft top and Hardtop? I'm just wondering this because I just read about 2 threads with people getting their top being sliced.

If that ever happens to me, I might have to decide and if the price is about the same, wouldn't it be wiser to get a hardtop?

If your buying new, there's about $1500 difference.
This difference includes labor for installing the softtop.

Possible but stolen HT's seem to be rare when compared to seats.
I'm going to start a new thread and see if anyone here has ever lost a HT.

they may look nice and maybe be cheaper.... but you fail to mention the loss of use from the trunk.

the mugen, seibon, and spoon hardtops make it so you cannot open your trunk all the way without crushing part of the hardtop.
