Default Price of used 2000 S2ks

I was wondering what people are getting for their used 2000 SK2s. Here, for example, are three used 2000s for sale in California. They have similar mileage but there is a $10k asking price difference!

Car: 2000 Honda S2000, 22407 Miles, Stock Number UP3071, $37850, Glendale, CA

Car: 2000 Honda S2000, 21000 Miles, $28000, Pleasanton, CA

Car: 2000 Honda S2000, 29000 Miles, $27500, San Rafael, CA

Is the person asking $38k on way too much crack, or are there buyers out there that are that clueless about the market? Are people really only getting $28k for their used 2000 stooks given the still considerable demand?

I can't speak for the U.S. but it is very similar occurence here in Toronto, Canada (land of red books, inquiries and punishing our own athlete's)

Yes that person asking $38K used should get together with this idiot up here selling a 91 NSX for $97,000 CDN. !!!! Yup 91K..!!!
I don't care why he/she has done to it, they must be on crack asking that price.

There are a lot of people who do not have clue about the market.

And as the saying goes, depreciation begins as soon as you drive off the lot... An industry agent told me that s2k's will de-value faster because it's badged as a Honda. If they badged it with the Acura name, there would be greater residual value. At least this is the CDN view.

But in the end, we don't buy these cars thinking about the aspects of de-valuing, or depreciation..

I'm in the Bay Area, with a 2000 S2000, with only 7,000 miles. NEVER VTECed, never driven over 70 mph. Has front, rear, side spoilers, CD changer, Honda alarm syetem. High s/n 6606. Always garaged at home. I find it's not a car for my age group (sniff).

I'll let it go, if someone wants to give me $29,500.
